This page explains how you can request the deletion of personal data that Department of Communications has obtained about you, including data obtained through Facebook Login, the Facebook/Instagram Graph API, or the WhatsApp Business API.
How to Request Deletion
To request that we delete your data, email contact@departmentofcommunications.com with the subject line “Data Deletion Request” and include:
- Your name
- The Facebook, Instagram, or WhatsApp account or number associated with your data (if applicable)
- A brief description of the data you want deleted
What Happens Next
We will verify your request and delete the associated data from our systems within 30 days, except where we are required to retain certain information for legal, accounting, or security purposes. We will confirm by email once your data has been deleted.
Revoking App Permissions on Facebook or Instagram
You can also remove our app’s access to your Facebook or Instagram account at any time:
- Go to your Facebook Settings → Apps and Websites (or Instagram Settings → Apps and Websites).
- Find Department of Communications in the list.
- Click Remove to revoke access.
Removing the app does not automatically delete data we may have already collected; please also email us as described above to request deletion.
