Privacy Policy

Effective Date: October 26, 2026

1. Introduction

Department of Communications (“DOC,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website departmentofcommunications.com (the “Site”) and provides bilingual communications, marketing, branding, design, and social media management services. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have, including information collected through our use of Meta Platforms, Inc. (“Meta”) products such as Facebook Login, the Facebook and Instagram Graph API, and the WhatsApp Business API.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly. Contact form submissions: your name, email address, and any message content you submit through our Site.

Information from Facebook Login. If you log in to our Site or a service we operate using Facebook Login, we receive the information you authorize Meta to share, which may include your name, email address, and public profile picture.

Information obtained through Meta’s Graph API. When a client engages us to manage their Facebook Page(s) or Instagram account(s), Meta grants us limited access, through the Graph API, to that client’s page content, insights, messages, and comments, solely to perform the services the client has requested (for example, publishing posts, responding to comments, and reviewing performance metrics).

WhatsApp Business communications. If you or a business we represent communicates with us via WhatsApp Business, we may process your phone number and the content of those messages in order to respond to inquiries and provide our services.

Automatically collected information. Like most websites, our Site may use cookies or similar technologies to support basic functionality and understand how visitors use the Site.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell personal information. We may share information with Meta Platforms, Inc., as required for the operation of Facebook Login, the Graph API, and the WhatsApp Business API, subject to Meta’s own terms and policies; with service providers who help us operate our Site and business (for example hosting and email delivery) under confidentiality obligations; and when required by law or to protect our legal rights.

5. Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, to provide services to our clients, or as required by law.

6. Your Rights and Data Deletion

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time. See our Data Deletion Instructions page for details on how to submit a deletion request, including for data obtained through Facebook Login, the Graph API, or the WhatsApp Business API. If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, California, or another jurisdiction with its own data protection law, you may have additional rights under that law; contact us and we will respond consistent with applicable requirements.
